Supported by the General Secretariat for Investment, undertaken by Bpifrance and certified by three industrial clusters, the AI DReAM project has a two-part objective:
- industrializing the development of AI applications for imaging
- accelerating their deployment to serve patients
Led by GE Healthcare, it brings Evolucare together with the start-ups Therapanacea and Pixyl, the Institut Curie, AP-HP, Gustave Roussy and the Saint-Joseph Hospital Foundation.
A plateform to accelerate AI development in medical imaging
As in many sectors, the explosion in the volume of data in the healthcare field suggests the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve care pathways, from diagnosis to therapeutic care.
“Our goal is to create tools that will facilitate large-scale enriched data generation and algorithm design, training and validation. These tools will shorten development cycles for start-ups, researchers and radiologists who want to create AI applications,” says Baptise Perrin, AI Dream project manager at GE Healthcare. The consortium’s mission :
Advances in medical imaging provide a more detailed understanding of diseases and their treatments. They are also forcing the healthcare sector to confront an exploding volume of data. What is the best way to process this information to improve diagnosis, care and follow-up for patients ?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the key to meeting this challenge.
The AI DReAM Consortium brings together clinical sites, research centers, SMEs and start-ups to accelerate the development and structuring of the national AI industry in medical imaging. It is actively involved in shining a light on French research in this field among the international community.
What will EVOLUCARE’s roll be ?
We are positioned as a key player in the implementation of this platform. Evolucare’s contribution mainly focuses on providing tools allowing platform users to easily access and manipulate available data sources, by structuring them according to known international repositories in the field of HIS (Hospital Information Systems).
The Aidream project is a great opportunity to increase Evolucare’s experience and offer in the field of HIS interoperability, while joining the international movement for the structuring and standardization of health data.
